MVNU Graduation Weekend

Wow what a busy weekend it was!!! Friday we got to mt. vernon around 5:00 or so had dinner and then headed to the baccalaurette service. It was ok, very long as always but it was nice to see some old friends. One person that i hadnt seen in like 2 years was my old roomate in college brooke. it was awesome to see her its been way too long since we have talked. she looks amazing as always and i cant wait to get together with her soon and catch up on old times;) After the service we went back to scott's parents and just hung out for a bit. Around 10:30 or so i went to lay down with macie and try to get her to fall asleep and the next thing i knew it was hours later and i had fallen asleep with her in my jeans and all...haha!!! i guess we both were tuckered out.

Saturday we went to scott's friend justin's graduation party first and then my friend susanna's. We had such a good time at both parties and was thankful we were invited and able to go. Justin was scott's roomate in college so it was good for them to hang out a bit. Macie was the hit of the party of course all the older women kept passing her around:) Susanna was my apartment mate my junior year about half way through the year. I am so thankful i was able to room with her for as long as i did she is a great person and i know God has some amazing things in store for her!!! Congratulations Justin and Susanna you made it!!! We are so proud of you.

After the graduation parties we went to gma and gpa camerons for a bit to visit. It's been awhile since we have seen them so it was nice to stop by their house. But the day didnt end there, we met aaron and sarah for dinner and chit chatted with them for an hour or so. Macie was so tired at the restaurant she kept putting her head down on the table.

Aaron and sarah are moving here in a few weeks to Texas. Aaron was accepted to Baylor university so he can get his masters which is very exciting for them. On the way back to the house we stopped by ben and lyndsay's house too see how the renovating was coming...man i know they have been working hard but it looks nice and is really coming together. Once we finally got home around 8:30 or so we were pooped. macie took a nap and scott and I got in the hot tub for a little bit which was very relaxing. Not too much else went on saturday night i think we were just too exhausted for much more:)

Today we went to Lakeholm for church which was nice. Scott played his guitar during worship with a few of his old band friends (aaron, and jimmy). After church we headed home and scott went to work while macie and I napped. Tonight we were so tired we just ran and grabbed fast food for dinner and watched a movie. Macie and Scott got a quick shower which she loves, and then we put her to bed.

Now we are just trying to get some laundry done and things unpacked. We are really praying this week scott will see more doors open for a teaching job and I'm hoping that maybe tri-rivers would call me about getting into the LPN program for next year. We are confident the Lord will provide its just so hard sometimes to be patient and wait for His timing.....

Growing like a Weed!!!

Today i decided to get out Macie's frog mat that she would play with on the floor when she was only about 3 or 4 months old. She loved it and is having more fun with it now than she did then....i took a few pictures of her and realized that i had pictures of her playing on it when she was real little so i thought i would put them on here so you could see how much she has grown....i could hardly believe it. Our little baby girl is growing so fast, we can hardly keep up with her and how much she changes everyday!!! Soon enough she is going to be crawling or walking and then I have a feeling we are in trouble especially if she is as goofy as her daddy!!!;)

Tye-Dye

Well bethany came over yesterday evening and brought lil miss macie a present. She made her a tye-dye shirt in her chemistry class. It is so adorable and bethany has one to match it. How sweet was that for aunt bethany to do that for macie....we love you bet!!!!

mothers day/ girls day out

Well it was a great first mothers day. Luckily i didnt have to work so i got to spend the evening with macie and scott which was nice. For my very first mothers day I got some earrings, and a new watch which i have been wanting for awhile.

On Monday macie and my friend crystal and I went shopping in columbus. Oh man did we ever shop. The funniest part was crystal and I with a cart full of clothes only to get to the dressing room to hear this mean lady say "only 6 items at a time" are you serious we only had about 15 items a piece it would take us all day. Well it didnt take us all day but it did take a while and macie wasnt too happy by the end of it i can tell you that. So crystal and I tried on bathing suit after bathing suit until we found one we liked...which i must say we both look pretty hot and ready for this summer, at least our husbands will appreciate that;) Then we went to the christian book store which i got a few new devotional books which were much needed!!! I have started both of them and really love them. They are very short which is definitely good for me, but i really feel like they relate well to my life. I had such a great time with crystal and am so glad we could get together for a girls day out on the town it was much needed:) I love you crystal dawn!!!! And cant wait for more crazy adventures to come this summer at the pool.....haha

Crazyness!!!

So the last few days have been insane. Besides trying to work, look for jobs, figure out stuff for my LPN schooling next fall and take care of macie we decided to get a new car too. We are so thankful that we could get a newer vehicle because with macie and all her equipment:) haha like the stroller and exersaucer and all that stuff it makes it so tough getting that stuff in and out of a car. We are still getting used to the fact we have a new car but so far we love it!!!

After we got all the car details worked out last night we met my mom, grandpa and bethany at denny's for dinner which was so yummy, thank you grandpa for such a great meal!!! By then macie was pooped and needed a nap so we headed home for a few hours and relaxed. At 9:30 we all met at my moms house to give my mom her mothers day gift since i have to work the next three nights and wont be able to see her on mothers day:( She was so happy that she finally got her vacum that she has been wanting forever!!! We also framed a picture of my sisters and I that we took for her, she was so suprised:)

Well thats about it for now, scott is working till 5 today so macie and i will prolly just chill around the house and get some cleaning done and then its off to work for the next 3 nights so it will prolly be a few days before any more updates...talk to you all soon

Lazy day

Not much going on today...macie and i have been in our comfy clothes all morning and even threw hats on our heads to go to the grocery store this morning. we are supposed to go look at a car tonight so we will see what happens there...i hope we get some rain soon my flowers are dying:( other than that its just a lazy day....

Macie and Emeril

So today as i was cleaning up the house i decided to turn it on the cooking network to catch a few recipes. I got busy with the house work and realized i had left poor macie in her exersaucer watching the Essence of Emeril. I went into the living room to turn it on cartoons for her and to my suprise she was glued to chef emeril and whatever he was making. I couldnt help but crack up so i thought i would get a few pictures of her. the funny thing is that everytime i would get in front of her she would try and look around me to watch what He was cooking.....looks like we found a new baby network channel;) instead of baby einstein for now on its baby emeril....lol

All ready for summer!!!!!

Wow can you believe how awesome the weather was today? we can't wait till summer!!! Here is macie getting all geared up in her pooh bear hat and new miss spiders sunny patch friends sandals.

Not much else going on really, scott is still job hunting and I am still trying to get into LPN school. We are staying hopeful something will open up around here but also are becoming more open to moving and seeing what new journey lies ahead for us. We know that God will work it all out and decide what is best for us so we are just continuing to trust in Him right now. I guess Since i picked up some extra days and traded a day with someone i am off of work now until saturday so i am so excited just to relax and enjoy the time off with my family and hopefully enjoy some nice weather. It's sunny days ahead:)

Tired!!!

oh man i'm so tired right now i can barely keep my eye lids open. i'm at work right now and its been a really slow ( but great night tonight) which i definitely needed after two very busy and chaotic nights last week. i have been trying to pick up extra days the last couple weeks and although the money will be nice im still beat. i think what really got me is that all day today (or yesterday i guess....sunday anyways) i cleaned the house from top to bottom, and swept the kitchen, did like 4 loads of laundry and put all of them away but scotts, and did some other stuff around the house so by time i got to work i was already tired for the day:) haha. I have to stay over in the morning for a seminar so by time i get home and to bed its prolly going to be around 10:00 or so...and then who knows if i will even get to bed because by then my hubby and baby girl will be awake and i hate sleeping when they are up cause i feel like i am missing my time with them. i need to run to the grocery store to grab a few things for the house and for our mothers day cookout on friday also i need to pick up a gift for my momma and scotts mom for mothers day which i havent gotten around to doing yet:( hmmmm guess i better get on that one. but i have some new pics of macie in her pooh bear hat and her new miss spiders sunny patch friends sandals so i will have to update this thing after i get some rest and am not so frazzled...well its back to work

Pretty as a princess

Yesterday was an extemely long day i must say. I had to work monday night and tuesday night this week wich was pretty busy so by time i got to wednesday i was so exhausted. However once I got home from work i ended up getting a second wind and stayed up all afternoon. Throughout the day macie was pretty tired too so between the two of us we were so slap happy....here we are being silly..... Amanda watched macie for me from 12:30 till scott got off school yesterday afternoon so that was a huge help!!! I was going to go straigt to bed after macie left with her but then decided i might as well go run my errands real quick so that when i get home and go to bed finally i dont have to worry about getting up for anything. So i ran to meijer to get macie some allergy medicine and that turned into a huge ordeal trying to figure out the dosage...finally after having talked with a peds nurse, the pharmacist, people at work, and the dr.s office twice we figured it out...oh man it was nuts. Once i got this stuff done and in order scott and macie were home and we had dinner and I have no clue where the time went after that but the next thing i knew it was 11:30 and we were finally going to bed....

Here macie is wearing her first big girl nightgown that mommy and daddy bought for her yesterday....Pretty as a princess it says with belle, cinderella and snow white:)

Im so glad i have tonight off hopefully we will enjoy a nice evening together, maybe cook outside on the grill and go for a walk or something. I picked up an extra shift tomorrow night at work so that kinda stinks that we wont have friday evening to spend together, but it will be extra money and besides the crazy girls are working this weekend....nicole, candis, melinda, and me so it should definitely be a hoot!!!!

Well i am going to try and go eat some breakfast and maybe catch a nap if macie falls back asleep here....talk to you all later:)

So you all know that macie has inherited her fathers hair gene...well somewhat anyways. Its funny because scott is losing his hair and having a hard time growing it on top and macie is gaining more hair but mostly in the back....we laugh at how cute she looks and call her our little mullett baby:) we contemplated cutting it but we just dont think we can do it...crystal a friend of ours said "i like your mullet macie mommy and daddy can't cut it, this is the only time in your life you can have a mullet and not get made fun of!!!"....haha thats great.

Because of macie's scary mullet hair we decided to put them in pigtails in the back. Its cute because she has these two little pigstails on the back of her head but the top of her hair isnt long enough to put them in there so its like two hairstyles going on at the same time:)....haha
