HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY MACIE!!!!

Today we are excited to celebrate Macie's 4th birthday. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and now she is already 4. Macie loves being outside playing soccer, riding her bike and swimming. She is really excited to start school next month at our church and can count to 30, recognize all her letters in the alphabet and what sound they make, she knows her colors, numbers and shapes and she has recently started being able to write her name all by herself. Macie loves playing with the neighbor boy Cameron and has recently gotten a new best friend named Mya. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful and amazing daughter and thank God for giving her to us everyday!!!!!!

Upward Soccer

Macie was in the Marion Star today for Upward Soccer.....we are so proud of her!!!

So a few weeks ago Macie started Upward Soccer with our church, Marion First Church of the Nazarene. She is one of the youngest and smallest girls on her team so its definitely a challenge for her. She loves playing soccer and being with the other girls on her team. She has practice once a week and games every Saturday until the middle of October. Daddy has been helping Macie practice and she is really starting to get the hang of it. She has some trouble on game days because she wants to look at mommy and daddy the whole time instead of running after the ball:) but we are so glad she gets this opportunity to be with other girls her age to run around and get some of that energy out;)

Summertime....

As I said in an earlier post summertime is so much fun but very hectic. Here are a few pictures of what Macie has been up to this summer. Macie loves hanging out with her buddy Cameron that lives a few houses down from us. They are only a few weeks apart in age so they love doing the same things pretty much. She loves getting ice cream from the ice cream truck even though its crazy how much they charge for a popsicle:) Macie's new favorite routine is to sit out on the porch every evening and if she ate all her dinner she gets to enjoy a popsicle and then we catch fireflys:) She also has been helping me get stuff together for her Cinderella birthday party here in a few weeks. In our down time one of our favorite things to do together as girls is to curl up on the couch and watch the movie Cinderella which is definitely both of our favorites.

Our Big girl.....

Each day I'm amazed at how much our little Macie is growing up. It has really hit us hard lately signing her up for school, soccer, vbs and getting stuff organized for her 4th birthday party. I know it may sound so cliche' but is teems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and we thought the lack of sleep and feedings every 3 hours would last a lifetime:) I am so blessed to be Macie's mommy and love seeing her grow into such a beautiful little girl with so much insight on life. She loves Jesus and that makes us so happy and hearing the same little prayer every meal and at bedtime just makes us realize regardless of the ups and downs we have in life we know that at least we are doing something right because our daughter loves the Lord. Here are pictures we had taken last week for her 4 year pictures:)

Great visit with Crystal....

I have been really late on updating this think i know and I apologize, july has been a crazy month as I'm sure most of you all can relate. Summertime is awesome all the fun things we get to do and the places we get to go but its so crazy hectic sometimes. A few weeks ago my good friend Crystal and her son Wyatt came to Ohio for a visit which is definitely one of the highlights of my summer thus far. We were sad Phillip couldnt come too but are very thankful for the awesome time we were able to spend with Crystal and Wyatt. One of the most amazing moments during our whole visit for me was when one afternoon after church Crystal and Wyatt came to our house for a few hours to play and hang out. It was the neatest feeling just lounging around talking and catching up on life while both of our little ones played together. I remember back 3 years ago when Macie was just a baby and Wyatt wasnt born yet and how neat it is now that Phillip and Crystal have a son and our kids can play together:) It just shows how quickly life changes. Of course we went shopping too while she was here and Karen her mom was able to come also which was a blast. I miss them so much already and look forward to their next visit around Christmas time I'm sure....much love sent to SC!!!!!!!!!!

Letting go and letting God....

Well we wanted to update everyone since its been three weeks since the iui procedure. We found out last week the procedure wasnt successful so we arent having another baby right now. After much prayer we have decided to move on and stop any further fertility treatments. We believe if its the Lord's plan for us to have another baby it will happen. The stress of infertility is crazy and its been 20 months now since we began this whole battle and we are ready to let go of this burden for awhile. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted by just giving up our control and focus on getting pregnant every month we can focus on other things and just live life not worrying all the time about dr. appts, medication, ultrasounds and much more. God's plans are far better than ours and we will just let go and let God write the next pages of our lives, who knows where it might take us.

Waiting.......

So we wanted to update everyone a little about whats been going on in the cameron household. After many dr. appt.s, fertility meds, and tests we went through with the intrauterine insemination today. Everything went well but I feel miserable now and in alot of pain, so i'm resting the rest of today. I heard this song this morning on the way to the dr. and thought to myself "ok God, I soooooo get it" now we just wait. Thanks for all your prayers, we hope to have good news soon!!!!!!!!!

Summer Fun....

Here in the Cameron house we have really been enjoying the nice weather lately. From the time we get up to the time we go to bed Macie wants to be outside at all times. She loves blowing bubbles, riding her bike, playing with the sand table, swinging and swimming in the pool. We got to hang out at our friends house for a few hours tonight and swim which was awesome. The water was freezing at first but after we got used to it a little it felt amazing. Macie is just tall enough this year that she can touch the bottom in the shallow end all by herself. Scott has been playing softball with church which he really enjoys and is looking forward to going to Cincinnati again this september for nationals. Its going to be a crazy couple of weeks for us ahead, we go to the dr. next monday to start the next step in the whole infertility process. We hope to have updates soon, just continue to keep us all in your prayers.

Splashing around in the puddles....

Tonight Macie and I were sitting outside for a bit and all of a sudden it started getting really dark. I told Macie that I thought it was going to rain and I asked her if she wanted to get her rain boots on and play in it. She was so excited, she hurried in the house and put her hello kitty rain boots on and waited patiently for it to start raining. She asks us all the time if she can play in the rain but usually its in the middle of the day or we are on our way out the door but tonight was pefect so that afterwards we could throw her in the bathtub and get her ready for bed anyways. So it poured pretty good for a little while and she ran up and down the driveway splashing in all the puddles and screaming her little heart out. After Scott got home from a banquet at school he was able to play in the rain for a bit too. Macie couldnt get over this giant muddle puddle in the street and she kept jumping in it until we had to empty her boots out from so much water getting in them:) After we got Macie a shower and put her p.j.s on we went back outside and was amazed because there was a beautiful rainbow right in front of our house. Macie is already looking forward to next time playing in the rain as I am sure daddy is too:)

Busy Weekend...

We really enjoyed the sunshine and extra day off this weekend for Memorial Day, however we were so busy all weekend long now were all exhausted from running around like crazy. Saturday we pulled up all the brick on our patio out back and relayed them because there was grass and stuff growing up between them.
I worked saturday half a day and then after we all went to a cook out at julie and rubens house from our community group. We had good food on the grill and played cornhole which was pretty fun. Sunday we had a special presentation the "Children of the World Choir" so macie stayed up in the big sanctuary with us so she could see the service. Her eyes were glued on the kids the whole time, they did such an awesome job. Yesterday we spent the entire day doing stuff around the house that we have been wanting to do for awhile. The biggest thing we did was to get Macie's big girl bed put up. We have been having some issues lately keeping her in the toddler bed because she is so tall and she moves around so much when she sleeps she kepts squirming right out of her bed in the middle of the night. Her room looks really great and all grown up with a bigger bed now. Its one of those bittersweet moments for Scott and I to see her in a big people bed, its really started sinking in to us that she isnt a baby anymore she is growing up. We also got some stuff done in the basement and Macie and I transfered our sunflowers that we were growing in a cup to out in the backyard so we will see if they continue to grow. .After that we grilled out some dinner and hung outside for a few hours in the beautiful weather. We are so thankful for everyone that has fought in the war so that we can have feedom and enjoy our lives every single day!!!! Happy Memorial Day!!!!

Cutie Patooties....

Because I have picked up tons of overtime in the past couple weeks I havent had much free time to update this thing but I wanted to post a few pictures. We got to watch Bethy and Georgia for a bit last week and were able to catch a few cute shots of the girls. They are so cute together, the conversations they have crack me up. They really love playing together, I am so glad Macie has a cousin that is so close to her in age, Amanda and I talk about how funny they are now and how we can only imagine what they are going to be like when they are teenagers together:)

Our Big girl...

Here are a few more pictures of macie with her new big girl haircut....She loves it and is constantly touching it and flipping it around with her hands:) I was worried it was going to be time consuming blow drying it and getting it to flip under but it only took us a few minutes to do it today so i think its going to be great for this summer!!! She has gotten so many compliments on it already and everyone can't believe how much older she looks:( but i'm so glad it turned out so cute.

Macie's new haircut...

So after many battles with tangles and macie's puppy dog eyes not wanting me to brush her hair after bath time every night we decided it was time for the hair to go. I had been looking at different styles for the past few weeks but wasnt sure and after a little persuasion from my sister in-law amanda we decided to get macie's hair cut into a short bob. She looks so cute and all grown up i love it!! I think it will be much easier to manage this summer too:)

Macie and Ella...

Last night my friend Gretchen and her daughter Ella came over to play with Macie and I for a few hours and the girls had a blast. They rode their bikes and played at the playground by our house. Ella is about a year and a half younger than Macie but I dont think either of them realize it...sometimes Macie tries to be a little daring and has to be reminded that Ella is a little younger than her...and Ella tries to be a big girl and do everything Macie does. When they get together Gretchen and I laugh at how goofy they act around each other. Macie is so loud and boisterous and Ella starts acting just like her, its too funny.

Loving the Sunshine...

I am amazed at what beautiful weather we have had the past week or so. Macie loves the sunshine and all the fun things she gets to do outside after being stuck in the house all winter long. We have pretty much lived outside the past few days and we all have little pink noses to show for it. Macie has played on her swingset, in the sand box, with her bubble maker, and has rode every toy she has up and down the sidewalk I can't even count how many times. Tonight after I got home from work we went for a walk the three of us around the block while macie rode her big girl bike which was so nice to do as a family and something I really missed since last summer. I think my favorite part about it all is at night after macie is in bed I get to sneak out on the porch and sit in my rocking chair in the peacefulness and feel the wind blow through my hair....its amazing I can't explain the peace I feel in my heart in those moments of stillness and solitude. There are times when scott will sit out there with me too and we will talk about our days or what new things macie is doing or we will even share memories we have of growing up , I love those moments and will cherish them forever in my heart I know. Its been a busy weekend, Scott was gone alot of the weekend preparing and practing very hard for the Encounter concert held at our church last night. It was amazing and I know everyone that came was blessed by such wonderful music and the way that each person used their abilities to glorify and shine for Christ. I can't wait for the next one to come already in August!!!

Today I worked but scott and macie spent the day having daddy and macie time which I know they both love. I sit back and laugh sometimes at how much they are alike. I can see traits of myself in macie but when I look at her I see so much of her daddy, the way that they are both so expressive and loud in everything they do shows how much passion they have for whatever they are talking about, and when she smiles that big cheesy smile I can see scotts big bright smile in her then also.

It's time to start another week tomorrow so scott will be back to school but macie and I are looking forward to another day in the sun, maybe tomorrow we will have to get out the sunscreen though I'm not sure we want to fried this early in the summer already. Enjoy the sunshine everyone!!!!!

Gods Faithfulness

I have had a tough past couple of days but God's faithfulness is so real to me, everytime I watch this video I am reminded of it, regardless of what we are going through or struggling with.

"HE IS RISEN!!!!!" Thank you Jesus for going through such torture and pain for me and my sins, so that I could have a new and beautiful life full of joy and love like never before!!!!!!!

Good Friday....

Good Friday is always one of those days that we are sad but happy at the same time. Its a day of deep reflection on all the pain and torture that Jesus must have felt for me and my sins and also the emotional pain it must have been for Mary Jesus mother for having to trust her son and give him up to the Father for complete strangers. Every year on Good Friday I have a tough time with the way Mary must have felt. Its hard as a mother to sit and think about ever sacrificing my macie to go through such torture, ridicule and pain for any person or cause. I know Jesus must have felt scared but I think He had hope because He truly believed in the Fathers plans that on the third day He would arise and our sins would be forgiven and He would be set free and get to spend eternal life in heaven!!!! But Mary only had her sons word to trust and to witness the torture and pain he went through must have been terrible, nothing any mother should ever have to go through. But I also think about on the third day when she realized the tomb was empty she must have felt joy like never before. I'm thankful today that Jesus not only died on the cross but that He was willing to go through so much pain for me and my macie and scott and all our friends and families. We dont deserve that suffering that He was willing to go through but I am thankful that by His blood and tears I have been set free and given a life of hope and joy beyond anything this world could ever offer. I'm also thankful to Mary for trusting in Her son Jesus and the plans that the father had for Him. It must have taken great courage and strength and i hope that I only have a glimpse of the strength that she had on that day throughout my life. Praying you all have a great Easter weekend to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus!!!!!!

Come on Spring....

Wow what a beautiful day it was today. Macie and I were able to spend most of the afternoon outside in the sunshine. She loved riding her big girl bike while i sat on the rocking chair and read a bit. These days make me want spring weather to hurry up and come and to actually stick around.

The climb.....

I often think when we are in the midst of a battle its hard to see or want anything but whats on the other side. After the battle is over we realize that what we should appreciate most is the climb that brought us to the point we are in this exact moment. The battles of life are never easy or fun but they are so necessary, they make us who we are and they help us to cling tight to God and the strength that we find in Him during our weakest moments. This song is such an encouragment to me to just keep climbing the mountain and know that even if what I want doesnt ever happen then the battle will still have taught me more than i could have ever imagined.

Miley Cyrus - The Climb - Official Music Video (HQ)

The Climb

I can almost see it
That dream I’m dreaming but
There’s a voice inside my head sayin,
You’ll never reach it,
Every step I’m taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep tryin
Got to keep my head held high

There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
theres always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

The struggles I’m facing,
The chances I’m taking
Sometimes they might knock me down but
No I’m not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I’m going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on,
cause

There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

There’s always going to be another mountain
I’m always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you're going to have to lose,
Ain’t about how fast I get there,
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It’s all about
It’s all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

Update on whats ahead....

We just wanted to update everyone on where we are at with the infertility stuff. I had some lab work done today to check some of my hormone levels which we should know the results in a few days. Scott and I will be going to Riverside next tuesday for me to have the hsg test (hysterosalpingogram) this will check to make sure there is no scarring or blockages in my uterus and fallopian tubes. I will also start taking the clomid again this week. As of right now if there are no abnormalities found during the hsg test then we will do two cycles or months of clomid. If we dont get pregnant in those two months we will take a few months off and do three rounds of clomid with IUI (intrauterine insemination) this summer. This could be a long road ahead but we are trusting God already has gone before us and will help carry us through this regardless of the outcome or what we may face ahead. Please continue to pray for us that we will seek God's will for us in this all and not just what we want. Thanks for all your love and support we will keep you all updated as we get test results back.

Get well soon...

Here are a few pictures of macie with her get well cards, balloon and elmo tattoos that kirk, aj, brady, bethy and georgia got her. She was so excited when kirk brought them over. Notice her shirt covered in blood, i havent had the heart to try and get it off over her head yet:( She has been runny around crazy all day, typical 3 year old they bounce back from stuff so quickly.
